Ginny Bandana Loop

🧶🎁♥️ FOURTEEN ♥️🎁🧶

It’s day 14 of #24DaysOfKnits and also #WIPWednesday – again!

I’ve mostly been working on the computer the last few days, which does not make for very picturesque photos, sadly.

One of the projects I’m working on is finalizing the pattern for the Ginny Bandana Cowl, which will be released on Friday.

I’ve been editing photos yesterday, and today I’m trying to add the charts to the pattern layout. It’s a bit of a struggle, but I’m sure I’ll figure it out soon…
I have some more projects on the needles, of course, but most of them are somewhat secret and others in awkward stages, so please accept this newly edited photo as my WIP post! 😊

🧶 Pattern: Ginny Bandana Cowl by me (Release date: Dec. 16, 2022)
🧶 Yarn: Big Merino Hug by @rosygreenwool in Edelweiss/Edelweiß (white) and Black Cat/Schwarzer Kater (black)

IT’S HERE!!!

The GINNY BANDANA COWL keeps you cozy and in style with a classic yet bold Gingham or Buffalo Plaid pattern created by two-color Brioche and Garter stitch.

The cowl comes in two sizes for a narrow fit (pictured here) or loose fit.

The bandana tip adds a modern twist
and keeps out the wind from your jacket opening.

The pattern makes the most of 2 skeins of Aran weight yarn (I used Big Merino Hug by @rosygreenwool), and knits up quickly on US 7 / 4.5 mm needles.

➡️ The pattern is now available on Ravelry & Payhip!

It’s FO Friday! I thoroughly enjoyed making the Ginny Bandana Cowl. Designed by sosuknits I knit mine with &Make Aran from thefibrecompany in colors Betty White and Wink. The interplay of two color brioche and garter stitch was so much fun and this knit up quickly. Let us help you pick out your color combinations! #doorcounty #knitwhitsdoorcounty #briocheknitting #ginnybandanacowl #knitting #cowlknitting #bandanacowl #lys
I’m totally obsessed with this graphic black & white Brioche Gingham texture! 🥰

The combination of Brioche and Garter stitch creates a textural checkerboard pattern. By using two colors, another dimension is added and the pattern turns into Gingham check or Buffalo plaid. When using four colors, as for the other Ginny cowl, the pattern turns into more of a plaid than check.

And this very graphic pattern is even reversible! Knitting is pretty magical, don’t you think?

The GINNY BANDANA COWL is knit with 2 skeins of Aran weight yarn - pictured in Big Merino Hug by @rosygreenwool - and knits up quickly on US 7 / 4.5 mm needles.
