A marled top-down Raglan sweater in a fluffy combination of Brioche, Pearl Brioche & Garter stitch.
The sweater is knit seamlessly top-down with Raglan shoulder shaping. For the main part of the sweater, the two colors are held together, creating a marl effect. For added contrast, the cuffs, hem, and neckline finish are worked with Color A only.
The body is worked in Pearl Brioche stitch, the shoulders/sleeves are worked in Garter stitch and the Raglan lines and sides are worked in Brioche stitch.
The hem is finished with a doubled/folded border knit with a single strand of yarn in Stockinette stitch. The Cuffs are worked in Brioche stitch with two strands of yarn of the same color. The neckline is raised in the back by working short-rows before binding off neatly with an i-cord.
Use a mix of (semi-)solid and variegated/speckled colors (eg. a solid Lace-weight and a speckled mohair/alpaca blend, or vice versa) with a low to medium contrast for a more cohesive marl effect.
