Inspired by all the odds and ends of beautiful gray yarn that have accumulated from previous projects, New Beginnings is a triangular shawl in stockinette stitch with varying short row sections in garter stitch. The name reflects my belief that ends can always be beginnings of something new – and to always make the most of what you have.
The short row sections and purl ridges are sized to make the most of each color I had available, so please feel free to adjust them to fit your odds and ends. Alternatively, you can just use a single color as Color B.
An i-cord surrounds the whole shawl – from Cast On, to the Edges to the Bind Off – for a neat and finished look.
Turn this into an elegant shawl with understated colors or into a fun accessory with lots of color pops – make it your own and have fun with it!
