Good Things Shawl

A colorful modular chevron shawl in Brioche and Garter stitch.

Each segment of this large shawl is worked top-down in stripes of Brioche and Garter stitch in two yarn bases, a Fingering weight and a fluffy Lace weight yarn.
The chevron pattern is created by reversing the order of stitch patterns and yarns and working the shaping on the opposite edges from the first set of segments.
The shawl features a modular construction: The first four segments are knit separately, the final four segments are knit onto the finished segments, and connecting all pieces.

Color Option 1 uses 12 colors each in two bases. You can knit this version with 24 mini skeins, or left-overs. You can choose colors that create a fade or gradient, or create your own custom sequence.
Color Option 2 uses 3 colors each in two bases and is designed to be knit with a full skein of each color.

The Good Things Shawl was originally designed for the Frida Fuchs 2024 Advent Calendar as a Mystery Knit-a-Long, featuring 24 mini skeins in 12 colors and 2 bases.

The original Advent Calendar version of the pattern is available to download as a separate file.
