I‘m so glad to have listened to my intuition to rip out the first version (in the second pic) and re-knit the entire vest.
The fit is exactly how I envisioned it and I thanks to the higher neckline I can now also wear this vest as a cute top (might have to go bra shopping first, though 🤨).
The knitting pattern for this, yet to be named (suggestions?), little Brioche vest with double-knit edges will hopefully be out soon!

Yesterday’s joyride! 💛☀️🌱🌊
Visited my favorite spot to get veggie plants, which happens to be near a beautiful lake.
Naturally, I took a detour to Neusiedlersee to soak up the sun, watch all the boats and surfers on the water, and listen to the waves.
Later, I picked out my favorites from the amazing selection of veggie plants at the Stekovics nursery.
The Oporto Tee was just perfect for this sunny spring day.

Finished, but not really.
This vest is about the be ripped out.
I’ve made some different design decisions while finishing the grading, and I need this sample to reflect that.
But I already love how the finished version will turn out.
I’m forever obsessed with double-knit edges, and for the first time I’m adding buttonholes as well. So neat!
More little design details to come!

Il attendait son moment, le voici terminé.
C`est le #afterglowshawl de sosuknits que j`ai tricoté avec la base sock de vulcanyarn dans les coloris mojito framboise, tayberry et piña colada.
Alternant sections de point mousse rayé et sections de brioche, il s`achève sur une magnifique bordure de point fantaisie en brioche et des vaguelettes toutes mimi.
Avec ses 2,30 m d`envergure, j`adore me blottir dedans en ces matinées printanières fraiches.

Dans l’optique de terminer des en-cours, voici où en est l’avancée de mon #afterglowshawl de sosuknits . Il ne me reste plus qu’à tricoter la dernière partie de brioche, assez technique mais tellement jolie, ainsi que la bordure. Pas facile à prendre en photo pour le moment, 661 mailles, il me faudrait un plus grand câble.
