How to knit Double Brioche in Continental and English knitting styles.
brk2, sl2yo, brk2
brp2, sl2yo, brp2
There’s only one yarn-over for each pair of stitches!
You can leave it on the needle after working the first stitch or drop it and pick it back up to work the second stitch.
ETA: The video shows two knitting styles at the same time. If you are a continental knitter (holding the yarn in your left hand), then only focus on the videos on the top. If you are an English-style knitter (holding the yarn in your right hand), then only focus on the videos on the bottom.

Starting the Double Trouble Scarf with an i-cord Tab cast-on:*
Make a slip knot and place it on the needle.
Hold both circular needle tips in one hand, with the slip-knot on the lower needle, and wrap the yarn around them 3 times.
Pull the lower needle forward and out and use it as your right-hand needle.
Knit a short i-cord: (k3, slip sts back to left-hand needle) 3 times, k3.
Pick up and knit 2 sts from the i-cord rows under the third stitch.
Slide the sts from the cable to the left-hand needle, drop and undo the slip-knot.
Slip the 3 stitches as if to purl them together through the back loop.
Work a setup row on the wrong side and start the pattern!
To adapt this cast-on to other patterns, work 2 more i-cord knit rows than stitches you want to pick up. The 3 i-cord stitches at the beginning and end are the selvedge: always start the rows with k3 and end with slipping them purlwise with yarn in front.
DPN girlies: You can use 2 DPNs and a stitch holder (or 3 DPNs) instead of circular needles. Just be careful not to drop the provisional cast-on!

Das musste her und ich wollte nicht riskieren, es beim Wollrausch nächstes Wochenende nicht mehr zu ergattern.
Nun ist das Teil fast fertig, ein paar Zentimeter fehlen noch und dann kann ich mich reinkuscheln 🤩. Das Garn ist übrigens gefärbt von Elke und stammt von den Kölner Schafen.

Travel Mode 2.0 by Susanne Sommer, who also goes by the designer name sosuknits , is a graphic rectangular shawl with a seamless modular construction that creates a herringbone pattern mirrored along a centre panel. The shawl is knitted in garter stitch with stockinette details, and finished with an i-cord border. We’ve assembled these bundles to get you started, but don’t hesitate to mix the colours up; the pattern lets you play with your colours however you like!
Although the original pattern was designed using a softer superwash yarn, we chose to create our kits using our British 4-Ply. We’ve already knitted another of Susanne’s rectangular shawls with this yarn, and absolutely loved the result.

Travel Mode 2.0 de Susanne Sommer, également connue sous le nom de sosu, est un châle rectangulaire au look très graphique dont la construction modulaire sans couture crée un motif à chevrons symétrique le long d’un panneau central. Le châle est tricoté en point mousse avec des détails en jersey, et se termine par une bordure en « i-cord ». Nous avons assemblé ces kits pour vous donner un point de départ, mais n’hésitez pas à utiliser les couleurs dans l’ordre que vous souhaitez; le modèle vous donne la plus grande liberté qui soit!
Bien que le patron original ait été conçu en laine « superwash » plus douce, nous avons choisi de créer nos kits avec notre British 4-Ply. Nous avons déjà tricoté un autre châle rectangulaire de Susanne avec ce fil, et avons adoré le résultat.
