This large rectangular shawl is made up of three sections, each knit in a different sequence of colorful textured chevron stripes. The sections are seamlessly connected with an i-cord, which also borders the entire shawl.
Earth, Wind & Fire can be knit with Fingering weight yarn or a mix of Fingering and fluffy Lace weight yarn (as shown), for an extra cozy texture. It’s a great project for mini skeins or for using up leftovers and scraps.
For my first-ever Advent Mystery shawl with @frida_fuchs_yarns, long ago, we created the elemental color story, and I had the pleasure to select my favorites from each for my “unicorn” version. We enjoyed collaborating so much, we keep doing it again and again...

“Brioche is too difficult!”
No, it’s not!
You already know all the building blocks:
🧶 If you can knit a stitch, you can knit two stitches together, so you can already Brioche knit (brk).
🧶 If you can purl a stitch, you can purl two stitches together, so you can already Brioche purl (brp).
🧶 If you can make a yarn-over and slip a stitch (as if to purl), you can also slip a stitch with the yarn in front, and the make the yarn-over over the slipped stitch, so you can already make a “sl1yo” Brioche stitch.
➡️ Put all these building blocks together and you can knit Brioche!

Zuerst war da das Video von Elke bohei_yarn …. Darin hat sie den tollen Briocheslipover von sosuknits gezeigt - und das passende Garn gab es tatsächlich noch in Elke‘s Shop 🥰
Das musste her und ich wollte nicht riskieren, es beim Wollrausch nächstes Wochenende nicht mehr zu ergattern.
Nun ist das Teil fast fertig, ein paar Zentimeter fehlen noch und dann kann ich mich reinkuscheln 🤩. Das Garn ist übrigens gefärbt von Elke und stammt von den Kölner Schafen.
