The Ginny cardigan is featured in @modern.daily.knitting’s MDK Mayhem, a friendly competition / celebration of knitting designs. I couldn’t be more thrilled to be among such talented designers and their stunning work. What an honor!

In case you’re not familiar with MDK Mayhem: There are four categories (Texture, Color, Shape, and Technique), with eight patterns in each category.
Knitters can vote for their favorites, and each week a smaller and smaller number will progress to the next round, until the four champions – one for each category – will be announced on June 9.

Ginny is entered in the category Technique, and what a great match that is! It’s full of fun techniques that not only make it a beautiful cardigan to wear, but also a fun project to knit, like the top-down construction, th combination of one- and two-color Brioche, syncopated Brioche, Garter and Stockinette stitch , the afterthought pockets, and the attached Brioche border. So much to explore!

This mid-sized triangle shawl, with large Brioche dots on a Garter-stitch background and a bobble border, is a perfect little Spring accessory.

The cute shawl is knit sideways using the Intarsia technique. A bobble border is added to the lower edge, adding a touch of whimsy.

Dottie was designed for A Verb For Keeping Warm‘s Pro-Verbial Yarn & Fiber Club (February 2026) and is now available to all knitters on Ravelry and Payhip.

Obsesses with how this one turned out! 💜
I‘m so glad to have listened to my intuition to rip out the first version (in the second pic) and re-knit the entire vest.

The fit is exactly how I envisioned it and I thanks to the higher neckline I can now also wear this vest as a cute top (might have to go bra shopping first, though 🤨).

The knitting pattern for this, yet to be named (suggestions?), little Brioche vest with double-knit edges will hopefully be out soon!

Yesterday’s joyride! 💛☀️🌱🌊

Visited my favorite spot to get veggie plants, which happens to be near a beautiful lake.

Naturally, I took a detour to Neusiedlersee to soak up the sun, watch all the boats and surfers on the water, and listen to the waves.
Later, I picked out my favorites from the amazing selection of veggie plants at the Stekovics nursery.

The Oporto Tee was just perfect for this sunny spring day.

Finished, but not really.

This vest is about the be ripped out.
I’ve made some different design decisions while finishing the grading, and I need this sample to reflect that.
But I already love how the finished version will turn out.

I’m forever obsessed with double-knit edges, and for the first time I’m adding buttonholes as well. So neat!
More little design details to come!
